Chefs of the Chocolate Mousse Caterers take a common-sense approach to cooking. Located in the wonderful Hudson Valley, they have been serving clients throughout the Tri-State areas since 2003. Above all, the Chocolate Mousse is a complete catering and personal chef company focused on serving all of your culinary needs for all occasions… from intimate gatherings and corporate meetings to elegant special events, or weekly meals.
Our Food Philosophy
Our philosophy on food and eating at Chocolate Mousse Catering is pretty simple. Enjoy everything in balance. In other words, food is often the center of great joy, but like all else, should be consumed in moderation. Your diet should include good ingredients and loads of variety that look good and are delicious. Treats should be consumed as just that, a treat.
Chef Heather Casto
Heather Casto is an alumna of The Culinary Institute of America. She co-founded Chocolate Mousse Catering in Salt Point, NY, and serves as the executive chef. Chef Heather earned her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelors Degree in Restaurant/Hospitality Management. Furthermore, she is also a certified nutritionist. Chef Heather has honed her skills at many first-class facilities, which include The Hamlet Golf and Country Club in Long Island, NY, and the world-renowned Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC.
Likewise, Chef Heather prides herself on using her many technical skills and her extensive culinary and nutritional education to create heart-healthy cuisine which combines vibrant flavor and superior nutritional value. Her unique cooking methods and use of only the freshest elements enhance the intrinsic wholesomeness of all her ingredients. She can alter any of your favorite dishes to meet all of your dietary needs.
Chef Geoffrey Casto
Geoffrey Casto earned his degree at the IUP Academy of Culinary Arts. As co-owner of Chocolate Mousse Catering, Chef Geoffrey perfected his culinary skills at prime facilities including The Biltmore Estate, NC where he was part of the team that opened the Inn at Biltmore Estate. In addition, Geoffrey has also honed his hospitality and management skills while running a 3.4 million dollar dining establishment.
In short, Chef Geoffrey’s integrity and client relation skills make him a huge asset to The Chocolate Mousse and their clients.
